Most merchandise brands choose their hoodie blanks based on one metric: profit margin. They pick cheap 7.5 oz. polyester fleece with scratchy seams and thin hoods that flop uselessly in the wind.
We took the opposite path. We chose the Independent Trading Co. IND4000. It is a genuine 10 oz./yd² (339 g/m²) heavyweight 3-end fleece with a 70% ringspun cotton / 30% polyester chassis.
The outer face is woven with 100% 32 singles cotton yarn. That tight, smooth surface ensures our crisp silhouette prints remain vibrant through years of wash and wear. Inside, the heavy fleece lining insulates without suffocating.
Finished with a fleece-lined hood, heavy round drawcords, and nickel eyelets, it is the garment you throw on over a thermal base layer when leaving camp at dawn.
